Nationals of Maldives do not require a visa for entry into India for tourism purpose and stay up to 90 days.

Passport/Visa Note: Some parts of the country are restricted areas and require a special permit. Travellers planning to go to the far northwest of the country or to the islands should check with India Tourism for the latest information.

Passport:
Visitors to India require a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of visa
application with at least 2 blank pages available within the passport.
How long it will take:
Applications are usually accepted in person from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and are returned usually from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. But individual Embassy and Consulate timings may vary slightly. Applications by mail may take up to 10 business days to process after receipt of your application.
Duration and Cost:
Tourist visas are usually valid for 6 months from the date of issue. the cost for the visa varies from each country of issuance and can be more expensive if you wish to stay in India for longer than 6 months.
